Read last year's runnerup, "SIGN OF THE TIMES: Lawton, Alabama 1943" by Arnold Edwards.

THOUGHTS ON WRITING

“I don’t think that as the author I’m terribly important, and I don’t want to be. I want to disappear. If anybody’s thinking about me when they’re reading my work, I’ve failed as a writer. The work is supposed to stand by itself.”

 — Percival Everett, author of Erasure, The Trees, and James: A Novel

We are open year round for general submissions. Send general submissions of written work, visual art or videos on any topic here. No rules, NO FEE.

Peace!
